Seldom does a week go by when there is nothing going on in Devizes or the surrounding area. Below is a list of the regular annual events and we shall add to the list as they are announced. At the house we have the most up-to-date leaflets and information of "What's On". Stay with us and enjoy the delights that this region has to offer.
We are lucky enough to have Wiltshire's Live Music Centre just down the road from us at Bradford on Avon. A professional concert hall, recognised nationally, they host events every week and present over 150 concerts a year.
The Devizes Festival of Winter Ales provides bespoke, warming ales and ciders from some of the best independent breweries in the country, as well as some fantastic bands and entertainment.
Jane Austen Dancers leave Bath to come to Devizes to hold their Annual Regency Ball, usually held in February, the Music for dancing comes from original sources played by the Regency Belles and if you are interested you need to book early as it is always sold out.
The Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race starts in Devizes, Wiltshire and finishes just downstream of Westminster Bridge in central London, opposite the Houses of Parliament. The race has been held annually over the Easter Weekend since 1948.

The Devizes Arts Festival is three weeks of music and the arts taking place in various venues around Devizes. Brings to the town some of the best performers from around the UK. From classical music to jazz, rock, blues and roots, the Festival - including its free Fringe festival ? has become renowned for providing something for everyone. Theatre and dance are mainstays, as are talks, walks and lectures, comedy, film and special evenings with celebrities from radio, television, newspapers and politics.
Salisbury International Arts Festival takes place over two weeks from the end of May into June.
The Chalke Valley History Festival, which incorporates a Literary Festival, becomes a giant encampment of living history through the ages, from Romans to the Second World War, and displayed by some of the very best re-enactors and historical interpreters in the UK. With an air show featuring Spitfires and other warbirds, with Sword School, Have-a-Go Archery, an interactive First World War trench experience, and a battle re-enactment of the Battle of Vitoria, there is much to see for all the family.

WOMAD UK celebrated in Malmesbury, is described as a global fiesta of music, food, dance &art, and a place where everyone is welcome.
The Devizes Wargames Group hold their annual event each July and are now into their 40th year drawing gamers from all over.
The Devizes International Street Festival sees a fantastic programme welcoming some of the best street performers, contemporary circus acts, dancers, musicians and walkabout shows from Europe and the UK to Devizes. Come along and join our audience to be amazed, surprised and entertained over the August Bank Holiday. A lively and colourful carnival event with hundreds of costumed masqueraders and lots of bands. Dates back to 1912 and was originally organised to raise money for a cottage hospital. Today it is a major event in the town's calendar attracting visitors from all over the world and features the famous August Bank Holiday Street Festival, the Confetti Battle, and The Grand Carnival.
Devizes is a known focal point for crop circles and each year the town holds a Crop Circle Conference, which is usually sold out.
The Edington Music Festival is one of the oldest annual festivals of church music in the world. Over 80 musicians gather to sing the principal daily services in three choirs, including plainchant, polyphony, anthems, masses, psalms and responses.
The Great British Food Festival returns to Bowood House each year over August Bank Holiday.
The Woolley Festival is Wiltshire's best multi-genre event, presenting national and international acts alongside local talent. The family-friendly event also boasts an extensive programme of non-musical pursuits, and offers a unique atmosphere enhanced by the beautiful location of Merkins Farm in Bradford Leigh.

Trowbridge Carnival Procession An illuminated Carnival Procession through the streets of Trowbridge - large floats, masqueraders, bands, dance groups. Great family fun - laughter guaranteed.
With its 67 year history, Castle Combe Circuit has always provided tried and trusted motor-sport entertainment. But in 2012, a simple idea for a "Classic" themed meeting proved to be one of its best, now hailed by many as one of the best historic racing events of the year.
Devizes Christmas Festival at the end of November the night that Devizes turns on the Christmas Lights is now a day-long festival of fun and music! There are all day long Christmas markets in the Market Place and Corn Exchange, live music and street theatre shows but the most awaited feature of the day is the gigantic parade of lanterns made by children and community groups from Devizes and the surrounding villages - big ones, small ones, angels, dragons and birds, in fact more shapes and colours than you could possibly imagine! The parade of 2,000 people circles the town and returns to the Market Place in time for Father Christmas to switch on the town's Christmas Lights and start a firework display.
Wiltshire's Live Music Centre will be hosting the "Fast Forward Festival" until 2020 whilst Colston Hall in Bristol is being redeveloped.

Westonbirt is the National Arboretum and a fabulous place to visit at any time of the year but at Christmas they provide an illuminated trail through the trees. Enchanting.
